A major international design event attracting 18,000 visitors over four days required a fully integrated security solution across six heritage venues in the Melbourne CBD. The event organisers needed a provider who could manage complex multi-site logistics, coordinate with Victoria Police, and maintain the premium experience expected by an international audience.
Our Approach
Apex deployed a 48-person security team across all six venues, with a dedicated operations coordinator on-site at the main venue and radio communication linking all teams to our ops centre. Pre-event planning included detailed crowd flow modelling, emergency evacuation drills at each venue, and a joint briefing with Victoria Police and ambulance services. All guards received an event-specific induction covering venue layouts, VIP protocols, and media management.
